Baby registering list {free printable}

I absolutely loved every second of researching baby registry items and walking through the stores with Peter. I know not everyone has the time to spend hours researching things and frankly not everyone wants to. I also know that a lot of people want a one stop shop, so in order to help those people and help remember everything I looked for I made a list...a free printable list...

A few things first:
-I typically suggest to my friends to register with their family and friends (aka gift givers) in mind. If not many people are able to shower you with gifts that is perfectly fine just target the items you need within the first 2 months.
-I also tell people to use gift cards and cash on the items you did not receive at a shower and you need sooner rather than later. If you are able to save gift cards great, if not, you hopefully are saving yourself from running to the store the first month or so.
-The link above the scrolling list can take you to the downloadable version. If you would rather me e-mail you a copy send me an e-mail at ellwood {dot} events {at} gmail {dot} com.

I cannot encourage registering for and/or purchasing accessories for car seats and cars because I attended hospital classes that relayed information and videos from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the manufacturers of car seats that say and prove that the job of car seats are compromised when blankets, covers, toys, straps, etc. are added. Mirrors are also dangerous, more so for the driver but are breakable and can in fact hurt a child. Covers to protect the seat from the base also compromise the safety of the car seat and are not under the warranty. With this in mind I highly recommend finding a local hospital or fire station that checks car seats and getting them properly installed and learning how to install them yourselves.

I also do not recommend purchasing the next car seat early because the warranty will already be ticking away before it is even used. Plus, rear-facing seats are highly recommended until the child is around 40 pounds, foward-facing until 65 pounds and then a booster until 100 pounds, even if that means they are 15 years old. Yup. I certainly didn't do that as a kid, but my children definitely will.
I will be back with favorite items, registering tips, and registering for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. children!
