2 months old

Baby Girl, you are officially 2 months old as of Tuesday and we can't believe how big you've gotten!

You've grown so much over the past month!

1 month..
2 months..

(Yes, it is true photo shoots are not her favorite thing..so much so that she decided to have a blowout prior to the 2 month onesie shoot, so if you see a yellow stain by her right leg ignore it.)

We've been able to set a pretty solid daily routine and seem to really be getting the hang of it all. You've become a more efficient eater, are enjoying your activity times (loving your Bumbo!), and are sleeping much better during the night only needing one feed, if that.

Daddy has been a rockstar and taken the night/early morning feed for Mommy so that I can rest up for a day of fun with you which has helped us a lot. You adore your time with Daddy. When he walks into the room and talks to you you begin looking for your prince. He's absolutely wonderful and I'm so glad you've already learned that!

Last Saturday, January 14th, you had your first official excursion and Daddy and Mommy loved every minute of it. We went to Carter's where Mommy got to carry you in the Bjorn and we got you some cutie patootie clothes. It was so fun buying you clothes and being able to picture your sweet self in them! Then we headed to Target so we could try out our fabulous stroller. Mommy was giddy with excitement because we had been waiting to push you around for quite some time! All-in-all it was a great outing and we'll cherish that trip for years to come!

You're smiling more, grasping things more, and showing us your little personality more and more! We love that you're a little snuggle bunny and that you enjoy lifting your head up off of our chests to check us out, so sweet!

Update:
Weight: 11 lbs. 5 oz.
Length: 23 inches
Eating: about 7 times a day; 4 oz. pumped
Bedtime: around 11:00pm
Rise: sometime between 6:00am - 8:00am
Diapers: size 1//cloth
Clothes: 0-3 months
Favorites: sleeping on your tummy on Daddy and Mommy; Bumbo time; Mommy's original songs (or maybe Mommy just hopes that you do)
Latest tricks: you can hold your head up off of our shoulders; you can hold you head up for 30 seconds or longer on the tummy mat; you're smiling

We love you more than you'll ever know sweet girl!

  1. Aw! Love how youre keeping track and documenting everything month by month. I am thinking of getting onesies that have the month number on them. So cute! I'm also having a giveaway at my blog if you would like to enter :)

    1. I'm loving them! It took a little bit to get settled-new baby, lots of laundry already, etc., but once we got a routine down it was great. She wore disposable for the first two weeks because the BG didn't fit yet. We now wash the diapers and wet bag every other night and hang them overnight. Having 24 is awesome!

  4. Oh good!! I'm glad you like them! I ordered one online the other day so I can see if we want more. That's the one I'm thinking of but I hear that they are so bulky when they're little. Do her clothes fit well with them?

    1. They are bulkier than disposable, but if needed we just put on one size larger pants, but really the expected size pants fit, she just looks heavier set. For outings and especially doctor appointments we use disposable since you have to strip her down and stuff. It is just easier for traveling to not have to keep up with a stinky diaper. I love the large wet bag from Planet Wise for dirty BG at home. We have it hanging in the bathroom and use the diaper sprayer before putting them in. Super great!
I emailed you awhile back..how are things?
