Wow! I honestly cannot believe that two years ago today I was saying, "I do" to my best friend! Time certainly flies when you're head over heels in love with your spouse! I just love reminiscing about our special day, but instead of recapping it all again, I thought I'd just send you all to last year's post which can be found here.

Master bathroom update
Ever since our home began undergoing a Modern Country makeover I've been looking for ways to incorporate my newfound love in our bedroom and bathroom. I love our "suite," don't get me wrong, but there is just something so calming and homey about the Modern Country style.
For a good while now the only real updates our bedroom or bathroom have seen are the window the Hubster gave me for Christmas and a few switch-a-roos with frames and candle holders.

Dry erase menu
Last week I shared that I got a large lot from a local online auction here. Even though most of the flatware I got ended up here:
I pulled 7 forks to the side for a project I had in mind, but I only used 6.
I'm a planner and yes, I like to plan just about anything. Since we moved into our house over a year ago I realized that our evenings flowed much better when I knew in advance what I would make for dinner. One time at Michael's I found a pad in the dollar section that listed M-F with a notes area and had a magnet on the back. It was perfect for planning out our meals a week in advance, which helps my grocery shopping, which I do the week ahead.

2 year anniversary pictures
Wow how time flies! On March 28th Peter and I will celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and we've got the photos to show our excitement!
A photographer of one of the weddings I planned this past summer, Braeden Rogers owner of Ambient 11, contacted me and asked if we'd be willing to get in our wedding attire for a photoshoot. It took us all of about 2 seconds to say yes, because well, we love pictures and thought that it'd be a fun way to remember our 2 year anniversary.

Little updates
With Spring just around the corner the weather is finally get warmer, which means I will finally get to mark things off of my project list. For a while now I've had my mind set on subtle updates to a few things around the house so last week I opened up the garage and got to work. I just love what 15 minutes and a little bit of spray paint can do!

Auction, take 3
I'm in love with auctions. I still haven't gone to a live one (which I would love to), but not having to shout (if they even do that) over people and just type in a new amount online is still pretty dadgum awesome.
My tactic is as follows:
-The day I receive an e-mail saying a new one is open I scout it out. I write down the page number, item number, description, and original price.
-I show them to Peter just in case he gives a poo-poo look at anything.
-I don't do anything else until the day before the auction closes. I then go through everything again and star my absolute favorites, so I know where I'm willing to pay more than say $5.

Anna and Wade
This past Friday I had the privilege of planning and coordinating the wedding of one of my best friends from high school (actually I've known her since we were 5). Due to her job requirements she wasn't able to be around for the majority of the planning so all of the details were left to her mom and me.
Anna is a cowgirl through and through. She loves a good pair of jeans and boots and to sit back and relax, so we kept the ceremony and reception as simple as possible with several personal touches to make big statements. I won't go into all of the details of Anna and Wade's special day, but I would like to share a few things.

Spring comes to the house
Spring has officially started to rear her beautiful head in Texas and we couldn't be more excited.
After putting together arrangements for the wedding I planned on Friday (more to come) I was craving some fresh flowers in our home. On our way home from a family lunch we stopped by Kroger and bought 3 bunches for a total of $6.50, woo-to-the-hoo! I have 7 clusters throughout the house! LOVE!

Wall update
I love all things cheap and pretty. A friend of mine couldn't have said it better, "I love unique home decorating." Yes, I like to copy and recreate certain crafts and projects but they are never quite the same.
Yesterday the hubster and I finally finished a project we envisioned a month or two ago and we couldn't be happier.

Silhouette
I am officially the proud PROUD owner of a Silhouette and I could not be more excited!
This week is a busy one between working on my step-sister's wedding video, celebrating Peter's birthday (the big 2-4!), and a wedding on Friday so I told myself when it arrived yesterday that the video must be done and saved on at least 3 DVDs before I got to play.
Welp tonight I got to let loose and I've got to say, my love for this tiny machine has only grown. Look what I made it a mere 45 minutes!
