Guest post: Casey from Stress Case

Hello, Life with the Ellwoods readers!  While Kristen is off having her sweet lil Baby Ellwood, I am here to play with y'all! First things first, lets get to know each other! 

Ta-da - it's me!

I'm Casey and I have my own little corner of the blogosphere at Stress Case.

I'm twenty-something (twenty-three, never really understood the secrecy about the age thing - 23 and proud, baby!), and married to the love of my life - a man I met in junior high (when he was not so much a man, but a squeaky-voiced boy!).  You can read all about our love story over on my blog if you're so inclined (it's a good one).  This is my man:

Anyways, last month I wrote a little post straight from my little heart entitled:

True Life: I'm Not Ready for Motherhood

I'm pretty sure I heard my Mother-in-Law's heart shatter as I hit "Publish Post" (she is grandbaby-hungry), but you know?  I keep it real.  And that's how I feel.  (Also, I'm a poet and don't you know it!?)

While I think I made it pretty clear why I'm not ready, and why waiting on having a little mini Stress Case is in my best interest, there are so many reasons I can't wait to have a little baby.  So many times where I get a little flare-up of baby fever that makes me wonder - do I really want to wait?

There are things I so look forward to it when it is our time to grow our family (I never liked the expression, "start a family," because my sweet Handsome Husband and I are a family already - we just want to add to it).

I can't wait to see what a little munchkin homegrown in my belly would look like!  Will they have my dimples?  Will they get Hubster's pretty eyes?  Everyone will be waiting to see that hair color.

Obviously it will be a pretty hot baby.

I can't wait to meet this little person who will be part me and part Handsome Hubster.  Will they be slightly neurotic, a compulsive planner, and love to laugh like me?  Will they be intelligent, athletic and so super hilarious like HH?

See?  Laughing for days.  Also - will our baby love Bud Light like me?

Soccer-playin' Handsome Hubster - our little ones need to get his coordination.  The only sports I'm good at are channel-surfing and beer pong.

I can't wait to see us transform into parents - to watch Handsome Hub rock a baby to sleep, watch him cuddle with his son or daughter, and to see how it changes our marriage and our relationship (hopefully for the better, right?!).

A little glimpse into the future?

I just really can't wait to see what a little bitty baby will bring to our lives - the joy, the struggles, all of it - good and bad.  But really, I can wait, I'm just using an expression here people - don't get any ideas!  I'm still livin' my own True Life: I'm Not Ready for Motherhood over here.
